So my caliper pins were loose in the process of doing my brakes and I went to replace them but it seems no one had them in stock. When I ordered them at autozone I noticed the replacements are a little shorter then the originals. Is it bad to use these? I mean its definitely got a decent portion inside.

I recently did front and rear brakes on mine. In the process I snapped a caliber bolt from the rear. I couldn't wait a day to get them so I went with my friends at the local FORD dealer and the new hardware was different. They were about a 1/4" longer. I had to cut the excess off. Fit like a glove and everything works fine. I can't imagine being short would work if the threads won't grab as much.
