Hello everybody, I'm a new member.
Just about to purchase a 2000 Lincoln LS V6 5 speed with a sport package. It has 96.000 km (about 60.000 miles). The only visible problem with it is the front seatbelts, they either don't want to retract or they do it very slowly, the driver side being the worst of the two.
How common is this problem, and what is the fix?
Also beside the rear window regulators what should I be aware of checking before I sign the paper?!
I'm a do it yourselfer an the LS is a long time dream to own.
Any help and advice is appreciated

i have the same problem with my 00 LS but havent bothered to dela with it. Good choice and a rare find with the 5spd tranny. You will certainly enjoy the car.

Change the transmission fluid. It has a 60,000 mile recommendation on the 5 speed manuals

I agree - I wouldnt wait anywhere near that long. Trannys are too expensive. Better to overkll the maintenence
