My '93 TC seems like it's been burning oil. It is due for an oil change in about 400 miles, but I've had to put 3 Quarts in the last 1,500 miles. I haven't seen a leak, nor seen any spots in my driveway where oil would be leaking so I have no idea what's wrong with it. Only thing I've noticed is when I'm sitting in like a drive thru for a decent amount of time sometimes alot of smoke will come out the exhaust. Any ideas what could be the prob?

my best guess (basically knowing nothing) would be worn rings and or valve seals. It happens as motors get older.

Sounds as if possiible rings. valve guides or seals in my past experiences would not go through this much oil this quickly. best to find a good used motor. a rebuild is much more costly than the present value of the car.
