bump steer kits??

Bump steer is the tendency of a wheel to steer upwards as it moves into jounce. It is typically measured in degrees per meter or foot. That's what I Googled anyway 5150.

I doubt it... not even remotely the same suspension... I just don't understand as I have never driven a Mark that even showed a hint of bump steer.

I have KK,

t'was in my old 98 with WORN out upper and lower ball joints, and wide rubber on 17"s.

What shape is your Suspension in MarkVIII93?

My 93 with worn out... entire front suspension and wide rubber on 17s bumpsteers and tramlines like hell.

my mark has zero bump steer but my miata bump steers pretty bad, but i also have a ton of caster and camber on it, and some moderate suspension work.

Brand New everything. Its just the wider tires. Going from 225s to 245 wasnt bad but the 275s send me to the shoulder or center divider.

I have driven about 10 Marks total... in my experience never had one bump steer... hell the 93 I bought with completely shot air ride wouldn't steer at all but that's a whole different story :D

Heh, things might be getting slightly narrower this summer.... And wider :D

a bump steer kit wont help a car that isnt experiencing bumpsteer!

you may have toe out, that causes what you are describing if you are sure your suspension is in good shape.

i had a t-bird (88) that sucked in conditions like you described,i tried everything, alignment was spot on, finally i took the tierods off and eyeballed the toe inward a little, fixed my problem perfectly, only thing i dont know is how the tires were going to wear,i only drove the car about another year before i sold it,but the tires did not wear funny at all in that time,i believe a car can have the toe varied somewhat like i did and not affect tire wear,

These cars will never need a bump steer kit. For one I don't think there is a such thing. For any car. I lowered my blue 93 and it had bump steer until I got it aligned and the toe-camber fixed.

If your mark viii is aligned, toe and camber fixed, you'll never have bump steer. Just go fix your car.

wow kid. I never said I was going to use them. Just seein if anybody has. I still need to adjust my ride height sensors and align the car.

You've answered your own question mr. tech... no amount of snake oil will fix a poorly aligned car....

I cant fix it yet. Its stored for the rest of the winter.
