I think from here on out the rest of the bulbs im converting are going to be a super pain in the ass. Most of them appear to be built into the switches themselves. I hope the ash tray and under the shifter is changeable with out much effort. I know the steering wheel is probably a lost cause same with the traction and rear defrost buttons and the door buttons too. I do have hopes for the Havoc controls tho. I will probably send a little time in a junk yard tearing one up for free to see if I can get to em.

Yes I know its a lighter and not an ash tray :)

A few ppl over to TCCoA have done the door switches and such in blue, red, all kinds of colors! I believe they just buy the correct color LED and solder it where the factory LED was.

As for taking the door switches apart - it's super easy, they just snap together (I've taken them apart before). I'm fixin' to work on my interior in blue and I'll start with door switches - I've got extras.

Yea i think i have by mistake before :) . I may have to search tccoa and see if i can find out what kind of leds and resistors they used. I already figured id have to solder the ones in the wheel anyway.

I don't think i have to many regular bulbs to convert to blue or white on the interior of the car. I need to replace the cigar lighter bulb which i that that other mini bulb i have will do it wonders. the ash tray and the shifter light.

I have a bulb for the license plate but it has those funked screw cap plugs that i absolutely hate and can never get them out. I think a few of the white leds I have will work for some of the exterior lights as well. I keep reading about this under the hood bulb but ive never seen a socket for one. all well. the quest continues.

I changed my license plate bulb in my LSC, I just reached up the hole, turned and pulled the bulb and replaced it with an LED bulb. Super easy.....

Kind of a tight fit up there, but I didn't have to take anything off to get to it.

Mine has a protective cover or I would have just done the same.

I have a protective cover too, but there are wires going to the little bulb socket that obviously aren't in the cover. It plugs in like the little lights on the trunk piece (the 6 little wedge bulbs). Mine is a Gen1, is yours a Gen2 that's different or something?

I can take pics tomorrow in the daylight to show you how to reach up in back of that cover when it's daylight if that is helpful.

I found this but I'm thinking T4 or T5 for some reason.

Another set down and a few more to go. I also converted out the yellow corner lights on the front. they look really nice with leds in em. I used the 20smd white 194/167 t10 wedge bubls that i have. I also got the license plate one converted now too. at night its super bright and lights up the ground also.

When i converted the ash tray light. the bulb i had wouldn't fit right up inside so i hack sawed the little dome off of it and it worked out perfect.

headlight switch illum is listed as a37 in the 95specs book that 94m5 and i recivied recently. 37's for clim control panel,indicator/warning ,turn indicator, high beam.

Update. The bulb above did not work in the hvac section. it was the right size and it fit just would not work. In an insane attempt (mostly because i thought i got those off ebay and i was ordering different ones) i ordered two more to play with just in case because i destroyed one of my bulbs removing it from the message center.

So i picked up some more white bulbs. this time they are supposed to be 6500k xenon bulbs. what was really surprising to me was how fast i got them. I ordered them friday night on ebay and they were here waiting on me when i got home from work. I was also impressed by the packaging and the fact that they felt a little more sturdy. I also ordered 2 bigger bulbs to put into the reverse lights. if they fit well and light up good i will be grabbing more for the upper brake light and any of the corner lights or bigger bulb lights on the out side that need them.

Now i have not plugged them in so i dont know if they are crap or quality. the price was a little more expensive then a lot of the bulbs one bay as well.

11.99 for x10 of the xenon t10 wedge bulbs.
11.99 for x2 3157 bulbs.

I also scored a set of putco amber leds. normally 65 dollars. grabbed em for 16 bucks. they havnt arrived yet. once i get the rest of the lights converted ill be snapping up some more pictures. ive got most of the rear end converted and any t10 bulb on the inside converted already. the hvac the steering wheel and the displays are really my last hurdles.

here is a couple pictures. the packaging they came in and the bulbs them self. normally the bulbs ive gotten from china and what not are loose in a bag and what not. also i want to point out that again the mailing time was fast because they came out of cali and im in florida. normal free shipping methods take 4-6 days from there to here.

Which of these would be the front corner bulb that lights up at night with headlights on and turn signal on? Its like a puddle lamp but not the correct term for it..

yea i believe they are 3156/3157's as well... i know the yellow marker light in your picture kevin you can use the t10 wedge bulb in those. and it looks good too. the ones in front of it tho are the bigger bulb. i believe the ones im talking about fit the reverse/brake lights. and the upper brake light (the one in the back dash) and the front corners.

i used T10s in my third brake light.

interesting. i kinda thought they might fit. but the bulbs that came out of it were the bigger bulbs so thats what i planned on sticking back in there

edit:

I went out side and took one of the new xenon bulbs with me. here is a picture of the difference between the xenon and the straight up white.

I like the one on the left better. its still pretty bright in the car it just appears to be a little less harsh on the atmosphere. it also blends well with the blue lights i have on the bottoms and doors and the back seats.

yeah they are bigger bulbs but the base is the same, so i just stuck some T10s in there cuz i had extra.

Received the new t4's today the look a little different then the ones i received the first time. Hopefully these light up where they need too. ill post back with the results in a couple days or so.

I put these in today, they fit but they're weak and they suck

Yeah I saw those and I didn't really care for them. So take some pictures lets see just how bad they are. I'll be installing mine this weekend ill grab some shots then and we can compare to see which style bulb will work better for our cars.

here is a couple of pics. one is of the amber bulb and the other is the back with the brightlite for the reverse lights.

The upper brake lights have not been converted. Ether has the high beams.
