I have a 04 Lincoln LS and everytime it gets to a quarter tank, the dash says "fuel computer data error" When I refuel it goes away. How can I fix this and how much will it cost? I read a forum stating lincoln is aware of this, is that true? Thanks in advance!

Not a bug, but instead there was a higher than normal rate of defective fuel level senders that year. (Most weren't defective, my 04 is still perfectly fine.)
Your LS has two fuel senders. You can replace both of them, or you could have someone with a Ford specific code scanner scan the car. It will have codes stored that indicate which sender (if not both) is the problem.

I had that issue when i changed my spark plugs to quad platinum, when i changed it back to stock plugs that issue went away
Thanks guys I appreciate the feedback. I will find a specific obd2 reader to try and figure out which sender it may be. I know I plan on changing the spark plugs because of a misfire code so I'll lkeep the stock plugs in mind. Hopefully the plugs will fix the misfire and the gage problem that would help my pockets out.
