Im looking to get a buffer/polisher to wax the LS...Any recommendations on some good ones with a nice price to keep a eye out for & some to keep away from?

Don't buy any of the big 8-10" pieces of crap at walmart/autozone. Get a Porter Cable 7424. And some lsp foam pads.

Why are you using a machine to apply wax?

isnt buffering with the machine easier???

That is a VERY broad question...

What is your goal, do you want to remove all the defects in your paint, or just make it look a little better? How much time do you want to spend? How much money?

well to buff the polish...make it look realy good. isnt using a buffer give it a deeper polish?

Could you please answer the simple questions I asked so I can help you?

How much time are you willing to spend?

How much money are you willing to spend?

100 bucks is really tough to get a decent machine, proper pads, and product.

250 is probably the threshold for a bare bones type setup.

The steps should be:

1. wash
2. claybar
3. polish
4. glaze
5. seal
6. wax

With a budget of $100, you are probably going to have to eliminate the polish section. Unfortunately, that's the part that removes the spiderwebbing/swirl marks.

I bought one at o'reilys for 30$ and it worked awesome! I just had a huge mark on my door from a black neon that doored me in the parking lot awhile back, and it came out after a while but worked good, ps the black neon left with a bar in the windshield.

+1 on the 7424. Since they came out with a new model, you should be able to pick up the previous model for cheaper than usual.

I've been looking, and can't really find any of the older models. AT least not new.
