Broken Rear Sway Bar

So while I was doing an underbody inspection on a friend of mines Mark VIII, I noticed that the Rear sway bar was broken and by the condition of the sway bar it should have been replaced a while ago, its a 94 Mark and my question is, besides the factory mark rear sway bar, what else would work for as sway bar replacement?

cougar XR7s and thunderbird supercoupes have slightly stiffer rear sway bars.

I have the Addco #493 sway bar, it's 1 1/8. One factory braket snapped off after 2 years.
Aftermarket brakets work better, or mod the originals.
