hey guys, how is everybody doing? I bought new breaks for my 2000 LS, posi quite by the way. I put them in and its been less then 3 weeks I'm hearing sqeaks and also find myself applying the amount of presure as before when the breaks were bad. I tryed break cleaner for the sqeak but it goes for awhile but then it cones back. So I wanted to know is, why I'm I pressing so hard on the breaks when they are new and why are they sqeaking? Thanks in advance.

maybe it has air in the system? did you do bleed your fluid? also, what kind of rotors do you have? did you have squeaking before?

Thanks for you rapid response. I did not bleed the fluid, I have a ceramic cross drilled from posi and yes they were sqeaking before so that's why I changed them but now its like I never did.

Squeek has almost nothing to do with proper stopping function. Squeek is actually a very fast vibration---probably of the pad, maybe of the rotorand/or caliper. Best way to stop it is to use a material between the caliper and the pad. You can buy it in a spray can, or in some cases, a tough paper-like material comes with the pads themselves. The function is to dampen the vibration. Good luck!
