Brakes.....

Ok so I'm picking up a 2000 V8 on Friday and I'm going into this knowing in needs brakes.....what do you guys recommend for rotors and pads? Brands? Places to get them?

Just regular blanks and some better quality metallic pads or ceramic for low dust. I've used napa before with good results.

This is off-topic but semi-related. I'm wanting to redo all my brakes in the Spring and was thinking about painting my calipers. Does that stuff hold up and look good or should I just buy aftermarket ones already colored?

To the OP: On all my vehicles I've used the mid priced pads at Autozone. Not the cheap junk and not the outrageous priced star wars ceramic ones with kryptonite haha. Never had issues on anything with mid grade stuff. Rotors: I buy the regular Duralast ones for about 35 a piece.
