Someone here mentioned an lifetime brake warranty on an LS.
Whats with this?

Maybe for a specific dealership or if you buy some sort of extended warranty but I don't think Lincoln ever offered this as a base warranty.

I've got some guarenteed for life pads on the back of my Mark VII. Hate em!
They are soooo hard that they moan when you brake in reverse. Will NEVER put them on my LS!

Thats what I thought about the warranty, my experience with any kind of warrranty of that nature is just a way to get you back in the dealership over and over again to sell you something else. Kind of like Midas Muffler who will give you a 20k muffler, and then charge you 10x the price on clamps and exhaust pipe etc. Bad deal!
I am thinking of new pads:Akebono Pro-Acts as suggested by someone here recently, they are ceramic pads and don't squeal or dust up, not sure how they compare for wear or stopping power though.

Most brake warranty are for short amount of time like 6 mons other than lifetime warranty for just the pads which is the least cost of a brake job.
