Hello all, I currently have a brake switch input fault code stored on the pcm but it dosen't throw a code. It only shows up when scanned with a tool however. I don't remember the exact code. I have a feeling it is somehow tied into my brake situation. The car stops on a dime when going 10-15mph but it takes a heck of a longer time to stop when going faster than that. I've driven many cars in the past that stop (or atleast locks the tires/abs kicks in) on a dime regardless of speed. The funny thing is, the car will only stop decently if I mash on the brake pedal real hard but even that dosen't give satisfactory braking. Abs/advancetrack rarely ever kicks in despite how hard i mash the brakes.

It's hard to describe the situation. To put it in the best perspective i can, it feels like power is still being sent to the wheels while braking. I can feel a downshift in the brake pedal. Could the brake switch fault be causing my braking problem?

Here's what I've done so far:
*Flushed brake fluid
*Replaced master cylinder
*Replaced brake booster (same time as master cylinder)

Not enough info. Really need the trouble code. If they are running the KOER self test, it will set a brake switch code if you don't press on the brake at the right time during the test. Many scan tools don't prompt you to press the brake, so a lot of people miss doing this.
Do your brake lights work?
While traveling at a steady speed of 60 MPH or higher, hold the gas pedal at a fixed point and very lightly press the brake pedal with your other foot (not enough to cause actual braking). Does the tachometer jump up just a bit?

Haven't you had lots of serious brake problems with your LS, or am I thinking of someone else?

Yes the brake light works. I'll record the test when I go to school in the morning and post it here for review. Yes I have had a lot of braking issues with this one. But I've thrown too much money at this car to junk it out. It's a double edged sword :(

I did the test today, and there was no change in rpm when I tapped the brake. I also did learn that advance track is infact working since I almost did a 360 spin when I sped over a puddle of water on a non-lit strech of highway. The car did spectacularly and seemed to respond just on time to the slip. It caught back traction just before the rear end swayed all the way over to the other end. Still I don't know why the advance track light is still flashing all the time though.
