I was just wondering if there are any differences between the brake boosters on the Mark viii? I have a 94 and I have found a booster from a 95, I just want to be sure that they are the same. Do all Mark 8s use the same booster?
I had already purchased another used one that did not have a sensor port opposite the manifold vacuum connection as the original one has, so I assume I cannot use it because I cannot install the sensor. Second question is, what is that sensor that is installed into the booster?

OK, so 93-96 are all the same and the 97-98 are different. Is that correct?

Also, what is the sensor that mounts on the front of the booster? Anyone...

OK I installed the new brake booster, and the brakes work OK but, the ABS light stays on all of the time. I fiddled with the pedal travel sensor at one point and the ABS light turned off, but now it is on again. Is there a way to test that sensor? Is it just an on / off signal or does it actually have a variable signal that goes to the ABS module or something? I did not adjust the booster / master cylinder rod when I installed it, because I could not see anyway to make an adjustment, but it seems that the pedal must travel 1/2" before the brakes begin to slow the car down. I was hoping I could just jump out the brake pedal travel sensor to see if that made a difference but I don't want to short the ABS module out. Also, can an OBD 2 code scanner get a code from the ABS test connector under the cover on the front passenger side? Does anyone have the codes for the ABS test connector?

I still need some help with this one. Any way to pull the codes from the Test ABS connector with an OBD2 scanner? I think it has something to do with the brake pedal travel switch but I cannot find anything wrong with it. HELP!!!
