Pektel posted some hid projectors a few days ago and it got me a little more interetes in them. I like the light output of them but I dont like how they make the headlight look. I love the large reflector bowls on the ls and a projector would take that away. Then I got to thinking I could just stick some on the fog lights. The ones on retro-solutions were 235 but I found some on ebay for 140 shipped. I bought them last night so will try and stick them in the fogs when they get here. They were in china though :D . They seem to be the same projectors, both from china and same brand so I went with the cheaper one. Dont really want to pay 250 for some legit projector like the s2000 ones and still have to buy the hid bulbs and ballast.

TTIWWP!

I def want to see how these turn out. The stock fog lights have small reflectors and don't put out much light. The light they do put out is not far enough in front of the car to do much good anyway. Plus I feel the same way. The large stock headlight reflectors fit the LS. I'm not crazy how projectors for lows look on these cars.

Keep us posted and good luck.

Thanks. A few more days.

TTIWWP? HUH.

Might look cool, they have some halo/angel eye thing going on on the projectors. Hoping to get some nice combined light output. Stocks hid/fog projectors. In my head it seems like it would work nicely.

ttiwwp= "this thread is worthless without pics"

Link to the ones you bought?

Yeah, they look similar. Different ballasts. I don't know what else may be different, but the boxes look identical.

Yeah. Well for -100 of the other ones i'm it'll be worth it and not much difference if any. Oh and I almost bought the same ones on ebay that were 75 bucks but right before I clicked "buy now", I checked the page again and found that it did not include the ballast, just projector and bulbs. The ones i bought included ballast as a complete kit.I looked them up on google as well and it seems that all of them are chinese.

These might work good in the fogs, depending on their size. Looks to be about the same size as the LSE fogs anyway. Only problem is, they are BI-xenon (containing both high and low beams). Not sure if that will be a problem for you or not.... can't wait for pictures.
How does a bi-xenon projector work anyway? There are not 2 "bulbs" in it are there? Perhaps the bulb moves inside the unit, that would allow the cut off and optics to change. Hummm time for some internet digging.

I dont know if the bi xenon function will be a problem. I could just leave them with the cut off shield on just aim them a little higher. Well we'll see. It said 3-4 shipping days so hopefully I'll get them tom

Having bi-xenons properly wired in fogs sounds super cool. Whenever u put ur high beams u have 4 lights ! DANG.
