when it rains hard or i go through an automated car wash my blower motor does not get power...... my only guess is a connector is getting wet because after it dries out it works perfectly...... any idea on said connector? any help would be greatly appreciated

on another note... i lowered my car and besides it looking SWEET when i was going down the same highway at the 65 mph i went from 25 mpg to 27 mpg... this is from stock height to as far as the bracket would allow me... i didnt want to move the bracket

Check out the tech articles, the connector to the blower motor is a known issue.

Do a search on blower motor and you'll see several issues and resolutions members have had.

If it did get wet do you notice water on the pass. floor board on raining day or when washing the car.

The other issue is on First gen's that the wire harness becomes brittle and can become loose due to heat from a spotty connection, take a look behind the glovebox and see if you connection is loose, if not too bad, you may be able to pry the contact pads in the harness up to make better contact with the blades on the Blower motor itself. mine used to shut off intermittenly and then one day started to work again., Never noticed if it was after a rain but I pryed the prongs back and reconnected it, never had an issue since ..
Good Luck.
