whats the best place to pick up a a/c blower motor for a 97 mk8? mine went kaput this weekend. looks like i have a water leak to fix also.

Make sure it is the motor itself first. The controller may have quit if it got wet or the wire contacts get corroded and don't make good contact which could make the motor not work as well.

today i messed with it a little more, i unplgued the motor and went to get my tester and realized i left my tester at work, i pluged the connector back to the motor and it started working. so now im not sure. im pretty sure its not the controler. there was a lot of water. it was just damp behind the glove box. from what i read, it seems i need to re seal the outside vent under the wiper cowl. should i go ahead and replace the blower motor? or maybe the connector just wasnt making good contact??(if i misspelled something or something doesnt make sense i had a really looong weekend, IKE has been a real pita) lol

The time has probably coated the connectors with a film that scraping the connector possibly fixed the issue.

If it aint broke dont fix it. I would take the wire off and clean the contacts and sounds like you will be fine.
