Blinking CEL

If it starts blinking on you when you drive, that means misfire right?

I have three codes that have popped on, one being running too lean, defective catalyst, and EVAP vacuum leak.

I believe that is what is reffered to as a "soft code"

Well those three codes are the hard codes. When the check engine light blinks, it is usually when I am accelerating, but the car seems to be running ok.

I need to get a scanner for myself.

From what I know that indicates damage to the catalytic converters.

That would make sense because the drivers side cat sounds like it has a hand full of loose marbles rattling around in it. Hence the code I suppose.
