Bleeding cooling system

Interesting, mine was running up to 220 also, figured that was too hot, and i did use some aftermarket cooling system parts, but maybe it's normal then. It's never actually overheated cause i watch the temps and don't let it, maybe I'll see if it keeps going up before i change more parts.

I've "temp gunned" some of the smaller coolant hoses on top of the engine.

In the heat of summer it will read 230.
Wow, yeah i never expected that, i thought it was a 194 degree thermostat or close, so i get a little excited when it goes over 210, lol

210 is normal idling on a hot day

195-200 when it’s chilly
Right on, thanks. I'm too used to my 6.7 powerstroke i guess, it runs at 194 all day long unless I'm pulling a trailer up a mountain, ha

I've replaced the Heater valve last weekend and Aux coolant pump this weekend and doing the bleeding procedure exactly by the book ...my LSE is running at 201- 203 and is idling at 199-200 ...its been a couple years since I had to open the coolant system and I forgot how important it is to perform the procedures exactly by the book ...thanks for a the input guys
