Has anyone tried dyeing leather seats and interior panels? I have grey interior and would really like to turn it black. I've heard of many people dyeing vinyl panels and dashes in classics but not anything on a newer car. Any suggestions or ideas?

I've only seen someone change the carpet color on here.

When I had my 90 LSC I bought a pair of door panels that were black and my interior was grey, I went to a auto interior place the dealer I worked at at that time was using and got whatever brand vinyl dye they used, cleaned the panels good with what they told me to use, sprayed them and they came out excellent, 1 and 1/2 years later sold the car and they were still perfect. No peeling/cracking or anything

I dyed my aftermarket headrests (with LCD monitors) a couple of years ago. In short..you clean the surface with a greasecutting dishwashing liquid/water. Rinse. Let dry. Wipe surface down with a cloth and rubbing alcohol. (these two steps remove silicones, oils, etc). Spray surface with an adhesion promoter such as Bulldog adhesion promoter. (follow directions on can). Spray surface with appropriate SEM paint. (none of them are actually DYES). Enjoy

I wouldnt recommend that. If I were you, I would replace it with black leather upholstery instead.

Personally, I wouldnt recommend a color change like that either. My headrests were initially a darker grey. Also, Im not (obviously) sitting on my headrests on a daily basis either.
