Bikers be ware!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your cousin and his wife... Best of luck to both of them and hope they make a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear about your cousin, I think every state should have a helmet law. Just as is with the seatbelt law.

sorry to hear about this, this hits hard with me because i have a very very close friend to me and my family. my friend Ray was chief of police for the town i worked in back up in mass, he road a goldwing, and was in a group of riding buddies coming home from a trip in connecticut. Ray never ever rode with his helmet off, but this one day in connecticut it was very hot, his friends talked him into riding back to the mass line with no helmet, he wasnt thrilled but did it, 4 miles from the mass line someone cut him off on interstate 91 and he tried to lay it down and slide with it at 70 mph, he laid the bike down but it caught and flip sending him head first against the pavement around the force of about a 90 mph impact, 5 months later he woke up, with 1/4 of his skull missing and the skin drooped into the hole, he looked like a shotgun blast victim on the back of the head, very disturbing to see, now a few years later, he has a plate over the hole, looks awesome, and lives a normal life with the exception of a small seizure now and then, he can never be a cop again, he is permanently dissabled now and rides again but will never ride without a helmet ever again. in florida here there is no helmet law either , i cringe when i see crotch rockets pass me and usually its a hot head with his girl on the back doing 80+ with no helmets, i dont care how hot it may be, you need a helmet on, helmets protect, but even people with helmets on die, so how protected can you be with no helmet? i hope that your cousin and his wife come out of it with no ill effects, there is never anything good about a bike crash, i wish them well.

Thanks guys. She has come out and been moved out of ICU..... he shows no sign of anything, except that they have stabilized him in that coma.

Helmets and seat belts have stories of saving lives both on and off. I think the majority of people agree on is better. The lobbyists dont feel that way, or they feel that people can choose for themselves. idk. Right now praying for him is all i care about as far helmets and accidents go
