When I started planning the event. I wanted to really surprise everyone. Something that would really knock everyone socks off. I contacted Spec Clutches. I invited them to bring up thier wide-body/supercharged LS for us to see. They were VERY interested. Received an e-mail from them yesterday. Due to scheduling conflict. They will not be able to attend. They are interested in doing a future event. Maybe next year. Pictures of what we missed.:(

awesome surprise.... that would have been great... A must for next year...

Next year is looking promising. I plan to continue to e-mailing them off and on. Try to set it up for next year. I am hoping they might even consider producing some parts for us. ;)

maybe that 9 inch solid axle they stuffed back there. lol. wonder why they did that.. were they gonna break the LS irs or what?

perhaps the aftermarket available and the strength, there is a decent mount of work putting an LSD in the ls, so may as well just go all out. I am not sure how much cornering that thing would do but the IRS would have been better for that.

They claim its 1000 horsepower. That might have something to do with it.

such as?!?!?

Maybe a few performance parts. The bodywork they did is sick. Possibly an after market hood. Just throwing things out there. With enough interest shown. I am sure they would listen.

Had I known that was the surprise I would have dropped everything and went! Kidding, but seriously that's depressing to miss out on seeing that. Hopes for next year. Next years meet if they can't make it, we go to it, not it come to us. It being Spec Clutch

it might. but there are also 03-04 Cobras at those power levels that still have IRS. so solid axle wasn't their only option. especially with the amount of money they spent.
