since ive seen lots of threads about car audio, it made me miss my sytem so i thought id give it another go but in a smart sense.

so far this is what i have,

#1. bass inferno 1500bx 1500 watts rms at 2 ohms 120 bucks new.

#2 1 farad icap capacitor. used 15 bucks.

#3 stinger line out converter 15 bucks new

#4 4 gauge wiring kit 60 bucks new

#5 2 12" Fi x series woofers 300 watts rms 240 bucks new

#6 custom built ported box 60 bucks.

SOOO.. the total comes out to... 510 bucks.

ill be posting a vid soon once the subs come, just ordered them this after noon so should be here in and around christmas time.

Hopefully all works well.

#1 never heard of it but do you mean the Brutus 1500bx?..#2 just throw it away..Coulda saved abit on the wire kit. Other then that well done.

fi subs are decent if there the same brand i'm thinking of. Dont know nething about that series though. Did some lookin around, the amp you have is the 1500dx..Not good at all...

#2 what a waste of money spend it on a high output alternator and never worry about the battery drain issue again ...... but weell done on a budget

Never really heard of the Amp or Speakers before but good luck with em cause you may get what your looking for?

Way back when I did this on the pro deal we tripped across a Targa 12" Sub that kicked ass for dirt money Thiele/Small parameters wise. Things kicked ass in a Dual Bandpass box but just couldn't take hi power for extended periods :(

The 1farade cap is a bit small if the amp does actually draw any amperage?

Ive been throwing my 13W7 JL with it's 1000/1 amp through 3 cars now and I beat them like there is no tomorrow

It's an outdated Alpine IVA205 that I got on sale from Crutchfield for $400 when I had my Gen1. I love it sept my friends shop has a INAW900 that has a built in GPS so I will be switching to that when I get gainfull employment

I was gonna buy 1 15" btl but didn't have quite enough. The amp is just a shot in the dark. The cap I bought off the guy with the amp I thought for 15 bucks might as well give it a shot. I believe in fi's products so let's hope it all works out well.

Yeah the btl's are expensive..Then you'd need to spend just as much on an amp for it.
As for the amp i saw it for like 80 on amazon. But if it sounds good to you thats all that matters..I woulda bought a used amp for that price that actually put out around 800rms though.

For a couple hundred bucks more I can get a 2000watt rms 5000 peak performance teknique amp 2 10inch kicker cvx subs a capacitor installed for 750 but I know the owner so I get $h!t cheap from him

FI subs are decient. A little muddy and not very much extension but they have good impact and a nice growl around 45hz.

The amp ...... nice paper weight.

The cap..... total waste. Then again with the chit power stage of that amp it will prolly help it a little. A good or decient amp has enough on board storage to not need a cap.

i worked with a kid that had a 15" Fi sub in the back of his eclipse. that thing hit so fukkin hard your throat would go numb. but im sure he got the big dollar one they sell, cuz i know he had some huge ass amp pushing it

Thats way to much amp for those subs..Doesnt really matter and will work fine but still.. Looks like their dvc4 so they'll wire to 1 ohm.. Find a amp thats around 800-1000 rms@1ohm and that will leave you some room to upgrade your subs in the future if you want. Should beable to find a used one for about 150 used...Check out caraudio.com..Good deals can be found..And obv ebay.

wtf is fi??? im a bit more commercial when it comes to my sounds the vic had 2 15
inch l7's w/ a 4k watt pro acoustik amp. the ole ls had 800 watt Dual amp and 2 pioneer 1k watt 12's bought the whole set up at walmart 300 bucks w/ amp, and box.

FI is a brand hand built out of las vegas. they have a few different types subs all are good long lasting hard hitting subwoofers. the higher end subs will not only keep up with the high dollar high performance subs, but usually will beat out most of them.they are expensive .

There is a hifinocs Brutus amp 2700 watts rms at 1 ohm locally to me, 250 bucks but i think that'll be to much for these subs!
Hifonics suck. Once upon a time they were excellent amps but now, not so much.

If you want cheap and good look for a Rockford Power series class D mono block.
