I just got a system and I knew I should of done this before but I didnt and Im getting mad dimming and electrical issues. I just got a werker 80ah agm battery and I wana do the big 3 when I install the battery to see if this will help before a new ho Alternator comes into play.

my system.

sundown saz1500
mb quart onxy4.80 (mids and highs amp)

rear battery duralast gold.

How many feet of Power wire will i need from the alternator to the battery since its in the trunk ??

also the other big 2 is what and extra ground from the negative to where? and whats the other thing ??

how many feet of 0awg will I need for all this ?? please help

also here are 2 random things that my car is doing that I dont know whats wrong and maybe you guys can chime in so I dont make another thread. these 2 problems been killing me. Ive had this 2002 lincoln ls v8 (50,000 miles) for almost a year already

1. when I put the car in reverse every once in a while it jerks real bad. I dont know what it is but its pissing me off. and sometimes feels real bad. Ive heard motor mounts than I heard it can be a transmission thing :(

2. when I make real sharp left uturns or in narrow roads my wheel seems to click sometimes real bad its not rubbing but like metal clicking or something weird and u can feel it. what would this be ??

these could be something major and i often overlook them. maybe this has happend to some of you lincoln owners and u guys can help me out.

3. also my car is due for new rotors and breaks by the end of or next month. any good combo deals on something thats actually good?

thanks for all the help in advance. I love this site.

1. Probly the transmission shift solenoid pack.

2. Probly your wheel bearings / hubs

3. A few people have been getting the slotted and drilled kit from Brakemotive on ebay, 4 rotors and all the pads for around $170 I think.

I purchased 40 feet (20 red and 20 black) of 0ga wire and had a little left over. You need to run the ground from the battery to one of the starter bolts for a good ground. So you will be running 2 wires from trunk to engine compartment.

also the other big 2 is what and extra ground from the negative to where? and whats the other thing ??

you have two options

the traditional big three would have new power wire from

1 alt to battery +
2 battery to body -
3 motor/alt to body -

however, you could also just run two wire runs from the alt to the battery, one positive, and one negative. the first option will be much cheaper.

thanks you guys.

so the transmission shift solenoid pack is that hard to repair ?

also the wheel bearing just replace one or the front ??

so with 20 feet of power wire I should be good for Alternator to battery ??

so I can just add a ground from alternator to body ??

i dont know much bout these parts. dont wana spend to much but I really need to replace my brakes and rotors i can hear the metal grinding.

ABS is anti-lock brake system. Yes, you have it. Amauto doesn't say what brand that is, and there are lots of terrible bearing manufacturers now. I always stick with Timken, but expect to pay around $100 ea. Usually, bearing failures sound like a growling. You can also jack up the wheels and turn them, see if it feels like it's crunching or anything, or can wiggle (and it's the bearing and not the ball joints).

The brakes that you linked have been used by a few folks here and apparently enjoyed. It's an "economical" set.

I did a writeup when I did my big 3. Deff not as hard as some people may think. Check my sig for the link.

Yea i was leary about those hubs.

Do you guys know how to tell what transmission my car has? Its 2002a v8 sport edition automatic with sport shift
