best winter tires///your opinions please

the bridgestone winterforce are pretty damn good! $81 vs $101 for Blizzaks
(assuming 16" rims)

ive decided on the toyo for this year...... just want to see how they are

Are Toyos good tires??

I was looking at the Proxes4 and TPT but I wasn't sure of their history...

ummmm I have their top of the line tires.... T1-R's i think they're called. They rock, but im looking to upgrade for next spring/summer. They ranked 8th on the list for the tire test quick and the tread thing car and driver did a little while back. Their snow tires are supposed to be really good, but idk yet. I was trying to figure out how to fit a set of BFG all-terrain ta on my car, but i dont see it happening. LOL

Hmmm, I can't decide if I want Cooper, Toyo, Bridgestone, Goodyear or Falken.....LOL. I guess I'll buy all of them.

If you can find them, try a set of Pacemark Snowtrakkers. Good value tires and they grip very nicely in snow. Hell they're Canadian, they ought to work well in snow!

I had been looking for snow tires last year, ordered some Firestone/bridgestone Winterforce tires, then it never snowed again. So I have no idea how they perform on the LS. But Ive had good luck with Winterforce on previous cars.

King03LS8, lol, your comment friggin cracked me up, "nice dog"

"the only way to get you through the snow."

i saw the dog in there too, and I said to myself "a dog? what pulling a sled in the snow"

Ive have a set of Dunlop winter sport M3's that i used last winter. There was a day/night difference. With the all seasons, i could hardly get anywhere, the slightest slush would send the traction control into action. With the M3's, had no problem with daily driving. Now, dont get me wrong, you could still break the rear end loose if you weren't careful, but at least you could function.

LOL.....

What a good puppy, he needs a nice, tasty dog biscuit!

i have a set of yokohama AVID TRZ all seasons.

there 2nd best in there class on tire rack with a snow rating of 8.1 and a ice rating of 7.1 i think. they did awesome last year, way better then the stupid toyo proxy's i was running.

I swear by my Michelin PS-2s as the best tires I've ever had in the dry or wet. But they're also the very worst thing I ever drove in cold/snow/ice. Use Blizzaks in the winter---I have to have a use for my factory 17" wheels.
