What generation/Year of the Lincoln LS do you like better?

Please note the style, features, wheels etc.

I'd post mines, but I have to go at the moment.

I like the LSE Gen II versions. The fly by wire system is more acceptable after Torrie re-tunes the system via Xcal 2.

Gen 2, Lincoln addresses some of the 1ST gen issues, with 500 improvements the LS were evolving well. Too bad there was not a 3RD gen.

I agree with GWL about the fly by wire and having a tune to optimize it, made a big difference.

The '03-'06 LSs look much better, have more power, and have less issues. I think the '04 is the best year because some of the features were deleted from the '05 and '06 models. Correct me if I'm wrong about the feature deletions.

id say definitely the later years (mostly because of the hp gain), but i really dont like the shortened tail lights. in my opinion, they should have left them as they were in the earlier years.

Your right about deletion. My 04 did not have the caps that were on the under hood spring towers nor did it have the rear door shields along the bottom edge of the door jam. I had to buy them separately from the dealer. Can't say what else fell victim to the de-content knife.

I agree 100%, but I was talking stock vs stock. Once the mods come into play any comparison goes out the window.

That was a secondary comment about a feature, look to my first statement in my post for a “stock to stock” comment.

The 04-05 LSE had the best looking wheels (sorry 5-spoke guys but the flat chrome 7-spoke looks better). I also dig the all red tails of those LSE's (with the right color paint).
Other than that I would say 06.
