Best control arms?

the nut on my dorman lca on the ball joint failed today (thankfully leaving my friends driveway). looked grotesque as ****. got it jacked up and put together enough to park. so my question is what is the best brand to get? Moog, raybestos, ?? i would like to find an oem ford one..

OEM is actually TRW, which is pretty much MOOG also. So look for TRW. Advance used to carry them, they still should.

How does the nut fail? They have a cotter pin, no?

i got pics of said nut, but didnt take pics with the car all messed up. Heard a loud clunk (friends driveway has a ginormous bump where it meets the street) felt really weird, and made a got awful dragging teh tire sound. flew out of the car and cussed.. loudly. so the car was stranded in the middle of his street, and i was standing there like a retard with it jacked up blocking the road. Terrible day
