What's best chip for my car?- LMS exhaust, silencer delete, J-mod, K&N panel filter, 235/55/-16's, 180 degree thermostat, possible 3.73's?

Nothing you have done warrents a chip. But ANY Mark can benefit with a custom one, so that gives you two or three decent options.

Lincoln Motor Sports: LMS
Lonnie from Blue Oval
Torrie from Fast Parts Network

But, if your up to it, I recommend the SCT tuner software. You need the software which runs about $300 - the same for a chip - and an XCal flashing device. That can go for about $100 on up.

BUT with the software YOU have total control and there are users here, Tommy, the Kid and maybe myself that can give you tips and even send you value files to load. If you ever make a change, you can adjust your car versus sending the chip in for a re-burn.

Although I do have a chip available for a 96, EBP2 is the catch code on the computer.

chippppps

1994 MK VIII. I really would rather pay for a chip with what i want on it right now since I probaly won't go too much further except the 3.73 and a 75 hp dry shot.
I just want to have the speed limiter delete, optimized fuel and spark curve, trans shift points. What am I missing?

putting a 373 tune on e 307 car is a bad idea.

you dont tune for mods that you dont have, that is more like "untuning" .

I also wouldn't run nitrous on a 93 octane tune file that wasn't specifically set up for nitrous.

"optimizing spark and fuel" (wish it was as easy to DO as it is to TYPE) means there has been a substantial amount of fuel removed from the fuel table and a substantial amount of spark added..which will lead to a whole host of melted/broken parts if you aren't careful.

the stock fuel table will support a 100shot of nitrous, but I wouldn't try it with an "optimized" fuel table unless like I said above, it was specifically set up for nitrous use.

LOTS, missing LOTS..but dont take it wrong, your supposed to miss it.

there are hundreds of transmission functions alone, many of which need to be addressed to extend the life of the trans...

there is probably more you are missing as well, but it's probably far more than you wanted to know in the first place.

Maybe I'm mistaken but don't you want your chip programmed to your mods ... if you are going to put on gears and a dry shot doesn't this have to be added to the programming ... but after they are added

I think you need to spend more time reading the threads do a search and read what other members who have chipped their cars have done.

What have members who have 3.73 and a dry shot done.

Right now I'd suggest buy the cheapest one as your going to be dumping it shortly.

If you get NOS set up on your car you'll never stay with only a 75 shot. NO WAY.. Those 125-150 shot pills will shortly find their way in. Trust me.
As far as tuning I have run my car on the bottle alot with my 93 octane tune. This is with my sniper tuner its not a custom tune, just standard from the software. The AFR is fine on my car with the 93 tune and bottle. However that may not be the case with your car and nitrous set-up. The kit you buy could also make a big difference. I ran quite a few bottles thru my car long before I got any kind of tuning software. Did blow a head gasket though, don't know if tuning would have stopped that from happening.
If nothing else I would say get a tune to at least improve the shifts and timing before the shifts.
