ok so i bout my 94 about a year and half ago for $800. it began life as garnet red glaze got side swiped by a drunk before i got it. previous owner put a green pass. fender, a silver door, w/ a champagne mirror. air ride worked just leaked out overnight. black interior was excellent just missing light lenses and other minor things. then i got hit in the drivers side. it put a 90 degree bend in the lower control arm, smashed my fender, corner light, and wrinkled my door. now i've got a little honey hole with 4 gen 1 marks mostly complete minus grills and headlights. so it now has a ivory pearlescent fender and a performance white door. so i get all kind of looks lol.

now question 1: are 96 seats any better then 94 seats? i mean will they hold you better?
#2: what all would be required to convert to the 96+ double din stereo setup?
#3: this weekend its 50% off where i get the parts are there any parts i should try to get that are harder to find?

i've already been stocking up on switches, lenses, good drivers & rearview mirrors and a few alternators.

also would it be worth the $60 to pick up a set of snowflakes w/ centers or a set 10 spokes?

im gonna try to post some pictures to give ya'll some laughs. i've always been a chevy guy but since i got a mark im hooked and want nothing else(except cheaper parts).

Always did like those 10 spoke directional's. Back seats could be a little different but front should be the same. If your still on air you should look at that stuff too while your there.

i like the 10 spokes because i wouldnt have to worry about centercaps.

naw im on springs now i just wish it was stiffer. im gonna have my boss see if his spring guy could make me some 1.5 lower springs based on eibachs

on the seats im just wondering if 96's might have more bolster to them. so when cornering fast they will hug better and not have me slidin

and the back seat looks the same just has a armrest

Only difference in seats are that if the 96 are from an LSC then they are perforated.

Not sure on the Double Din but I'm guessing you'd have to do some cutting of the housing.

Snowflakes suck in my opinion .. they make great winter wheels.

a performance white door

What is that? Does it have speed holes in it? :)

now question 1: are 96 seats any better than 94 seats? I mean will they hold you better?

Like stated before, only change was the perforations and a rear arm rest in 96, 97-98 got a shape change. Much better in my opinion but it's not a simple one for one swap.

#2: what all would be required to convert to the 96+ double din stereo setup?

A new/used (Not worth doing) dash from a 95/96

#3: this weekend its 50% off where i get the parts are there any parts i should try to get that are harder to find?

Any part on a mark viii is hard to find, just depends which years/base or LSC your getting them from

also would it be worth the $60 to pick up a set of snowflakes w/ centers or a set 10 spokes?

I find it nice to have an extra set of wheels handy for a Mark VIII but I tend to have more non running ones lying around. $60 isn’t bad for a set of aluminums. Grab the 10 spokes if possible, they are a little more desirable.

Dash not worth swapping out just to have a double din unless you really want to install a double din head unit, seats are identical like stated above. The only parts I still pick up if I find them in nice shape are corner lights front and rear, 96 LSC lenses and 1st gen LSC parts in general, eyebrow trim, grilles, arm rest console lid and interior parts that typically wear out. I wouldnt spend any money on snowflakes or silver 10 spokes. Hold out for chrome 10 spokes or octastars.
