HELP!!!!!!!!!

I have a buddy at work that was resetting his module (hoping to smooth out shifts) so he disconnected is battery, but then closed the trunk.... now his key wont open the lid!!!! no way to get to battery now.... 04 LS V6... how do i get the trunk open with battery disconnected. dont know if key/latch is electric or if his is latch is busted. says hes never used it before... HELP!... i read theres a positive terminal under passenger wheel well but not sure with the positive diconnected if jumping will work

The key lock on the trunk lid is manual, make sure he uses a regular key and not a valet key.

we got it, the latch cable from the key was disconnected. i was able to release the rear set latch with a screw driver and crawl in to reconnect the battery. (the emergency release was behind the carpet cover). FYI make sure you keys work before disconnecting a battery....

Thanks wimmer

wow that must have been scary, and fun to watch lol I almost locked my keys in the trunk last night fixing my amp and had all the doors locked :P ended up jamming my finger to stop the trunk from closing, close one!

Love my driver door key pad, I seldom carry my keys.

The lesson here is that it's not a bad idea to try the key in the driver's door and in the trunk once in a while to make sure those locks still work.

LOL it was hilarious, I felt bad though. He's had his LS for a while but never seen LVC. He's been having some shifting issues so i told him to try the reset before we messed with the module. He disconnected for a couple hours and then called me over to try it.... I could stop laughing at it, but felt bad.
