Okay so I got my car in the shop getting my new Borla's put on and find out that the pipes that split off the single pipe to the mufflers is only a 2" pipe. WTF. So what size is the Single Middle Pipe? It looks much bigger than 2". So here is what they did. They used couplers to go from 2" to 2.5" to attach the Borla's. He said that it would cost me an additional $267 to cut off at the single large pipe and bend two new correct size split pipes to go out to the Borla's. I just kind of tossed my hands up and said I cant afford to pay that much more money. So he started the car up and it shocked the *hit out of me. It sounds very very nice. Not raspy at all, Not too loud, Great mellow low deep tone at idle and when reved a very nice low growl that to me really complements a luxury hot rod/cruiser that the Mark is. But what i want to know from you all is --- Should I save up the money and get it cut at the single large pipe and run the new larger pipes out to my Borla's? Or leave it alone? Also "I know I know. Im asking alot of you all" what would the difference's be between leaving it the way it is or going to the "larger size pipe's?" The mufflers are "Borla XR-1 Sportsman Racing Mufflers" the set up now is "factor large single pipe split to factory 2 inch pipes cut at bend then taken up to 2.5 inch via couplers into 2.5 inch Borlas".
