Hey I was wondering if anyone on here has found a more cost effective solution to our lower ball joints; ie not going with the expensive spindle assemblies, or the piece of junk ebay parts.

euromarque balljoints on eBay. call him up and mention LVC to get both ball joints for $120 with free shipping.

just put these in my car and while his balljoints are top notch, the job is a PITA. we pressed out mine ourselves, and since the autozone rental press doesn't fit our cars, we basically had to make our own rig to press out the balljoint and press a new one in.

the wheel hubs/bearings are a whole other problem...
those have to be removed to get the balljoint out, and on a new car it's no problem, but on an older car they almost weld together due to corrosion. we used a 30 ton press to press down in all four bolts with a 4 inch hollow steel rectangular tube over the back of the bearing. did this because you can't hammer on the bearing itself. when reinstalling, clean up the corrosion and cover the hub in anti sieze.

just got my car back together today after doing this. I reccommend having a shop press out the balljoints. and put in right angle grease fittings (6mm fittings I belive) before putting in the wheel hub. autozone has em in a small variety pack for $5. use threadlock on everything while reinstalling.

ford/lincoln don't sell just ball joint you have to get the control arm. ebay is the only way 300.00 each side or 120.00 for both i think ill go with 120.00 even if it only lasted 2 or 3 years
Don't use eBay parts for control arms ... Look for Moog or TRW or contact Max at 5 Star Ford.
