Ball Joint Broken!!??

Well I Wasing Driving My Car 2day Heard A Funny Noise Pulled Over And I Just Turned The Whell To See If It Would Squeek Next Thing I Kno Whole Right Front Side Of Car Just Drops I Said Wtf It Wouldnt Move Got It Towed Now Im Just Wondering About How Much Would This Usually Cost I Have His Price Just Wanna Make Sure... Thanks In Advance
 
At a dealership you will have to buy a new knuckle which includes the ball joint. They would probably charge you close to $500-600 for parts/labor.

There are ball joints on Ebay for the LS from (Ed?) that you would need pressed in by a local mechanic.
 
thanks thats wat he said he charged 500 and he mention 4 parts and labor by any chance what causes the ball joint to break?? and could it cause or mean my suspension could be bad?
 
On my LS the ball joints were bad for a while before they were replaced. I have never seen a ball joint actually break. The ones on my LS had 102,000 miles on them.
 
wel its a good thing it snapped on you when you wernt moving


i had to replace the bal joint on the right side aswell i think the part cost me aroun 200 or something like i dont remember to well i go it through my uncle

i went to the dealer and they were charging me waaaay to much in my opinion so i did it my self in about half a day
 
I had mine go while I was driving. Fortunately for me, I was slowing down at a stoplight and it happened while I was going about 10 or 15 mph. I had thought my front driver side tire had popped and the car thumped and dragged for about 10 or 15 feed on the shoulder cuz of loose gravel. The wheel was pretty much perpendicular ( 90 deg ) to the wheel well and I thunk... dat dun look right. *LOL* Der!!
 
yea thanks for all the help needed my car asap 2get back 2 work but he charged 500 i thought was alot but where it got stuck i couldnt leave it there it got towed 2 his shop for free so i was like what ever i wish i knew how 2 fix cars would save alot of money
