I've searched and found 2 possiblities, Wanted to make sure of which route to take before attempting to get my hands dirty. My horn is out, the controls on the steering wheel are dead, and my airbag light is on. I can get the diagnositic code for the light if it is needed, don't i just count the flashes before and after the pause? I have read where the two usual problems are the harness (not sure where it is located, under seat i guess) or the clockspring. Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

also, checked the flashes, and its 3-2 i believe. Went and loocked around under the seats for any loose harnesses or frayed wires, saw nothing. Made sure all the connections were properly connected. Wasn't sure which one i should be focusing on, because there were like 3 or 4 harnesses under each seat, one was yellow, i believe 2 ran from side to side, and one ran front to back, any particular one i should be more focused on.

ok, so i started dismantling the steering wheel, i ordered a clockspring from ford a few hours ago, i am stuck here, i have taken 2 pictures of my last 2 steps. The only thing i can think of keeping the steering wheel on is the large black torx bolt in the middle of the wheel. Is this the only thing keeping the wheel on at this point?

Any images prior to this? Mine is out, and I know I can replace it myself... but that whole airbag thing. Not sure what to remove and so on.

no, i didn't take any images before this, but i believe in order to get the airbag off there are two bolts on each side of the steering wheel (right behind your steering wheel controls) underneath those tabs that cover the holes.

thanks to all who reply in the thread, and those that replied the private messages, i got it all switched out earlier. It solved my Airbag light, AND my steering wheel controls and horn all work now. thanks again.
