Back up sensors out of control?

I've been having some issues with my back up sensors in my 03 ls8. When i put the car in reverse the beeping is absolutely out of control. I know i will only put the car in reverse 2 or 3 times a day, but i would really like it to be working properly. If anyone has an idea on what it could be, it will greatly appreciated if you told me .... thanks!

Check to see if you have anything that would be setting them off, They may have come unseated from the original locations and it is affecting their functionality.

Also see if there is a buildup of any waxes/peeling on the sensors as something as little as rain running across them can set them off.

i cleaned them today but it didnt seem to make anything better how would i go about knowing if they are sitting right or if they're not?
