Back Seat Panels Loose IN 04 LS

I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE BACK SEAT PANELS OF THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS JUST HANGING IN MY 2004 LINCOLN LS. I DISCOVERED THE TO FASTERS ON EACH SIDE THAT PLUG INTO THE HOLES ARE PRETTY WORN. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND REPLACEMENT FASTNERS IN ANY AUTO STORES AND THE DEALSERSHIP ONLY REPLACES WHOLE PANEL FOR $170.00. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS!!

I'm not really sure thats what he was talking about.

I think he was talking about the bottom clips.

My 04 is the same way. In fact, the drivers seat back is in the trunk. I took the little clips to my Ford dealership, and the parts guy laughed at me and told me I was going to hate him. IIRC, he told me each clip was like $27.00.

I apologize if I was not too clear with the parts I'm attempting to fix. While installing some tv headrests for my two great children, I removed the back covers of the passenger and drivers seats. In that process I must have broke the plastic parts that hold the hard back covers against the seats. Now the plastic fastners are wearing down and o longer hold the covers in place. thak you for all and any ideas.

Put something in the hole like an electrical tie to take up some space and when you press the clips in it will fit snuggly.
You can use some tape to hold the electrical tie from falling out.

read that and look for my input at the bottom of the page. That worked the best for me and it looks like nothing happened! Now if your fasteners are completely broken off and not able to drill a whole well enough to fit a zip tie through..... i dont know what else you can do haha.
