Back from hiatus

Went to FL for a few weeks and then didn't get on the forums for another month.

Might be picking up yet another one in the next week, but still need to finish parting the 2 on blocks...lol

My Main Mark (Fergie) is going to be my DD for the next few weeks because she's been neglected since Carlisle. Then hoping to rebuild the underside/replace the transmission on her over the winter.

Has anyone seen a midnight grey 98 in person before? Found a base model, in midnight grey, with black interior, and a bad head gasket. Probably picking it up, and maybe fixing/selling it. There were only 488 made that year and only 191 of them were base models. Rare colors are my weakness...lol

Anyway, great to be back and can't wait to hear from some of you.

I've had two of them on my lift in the past year, and I've got one of them on it right now.

Did they both have black interior? It looks so good in that color. The one i'm looking at will need that head gasket and i don't know if it's woth my time/money. I can hardly pass it up because it's a $500 2nd gen!

I might have one. lol. Depending on the condition, i might fix it and sell it for cost plus the cost of my time. My time isn't very expensive, just ask uncle sam...lol

I currently have a 98 Midnight Grey with black interior, base model. Build date on it is 12/97. It was hit hard in the left front. I was going to fix it for myself, because i like that color also. After about six hours on the frame machine at work, I couldn't get everything to line up good, so it has become a parts car. Hated to do it, but was not going to cut the core support out and spend countless hours on it.
