Am I just completely inept or is there no way to set the time on my Eclipse AVN 5435? I didnt get a manual with it, but I looked at the AVN 5500 Manual online and couldn't find anything in there. I did, however, find out that the 5500 will let you upload any background image that you want. Anybody with the 5435 know if this will work on mine? For now the big thing is the time, I'm sick of subtracting 42 minutes from the time that displays on the unit and I don't always wear a watch.

im surprised it doesnt set itself from the satellite data.

Thats a possibility, or one other thing i thought of is that it may get the time somehow from a radio frequency just like my VCR seems to be able to. There must be some kind of manual override though. Say for example I want to set it 4 minutes fast of where it automatically sets its self because that is the time that is on all the clocks at work (and lets assume that changing the office clocks is an impossibility) is there no way to do it? The way it stands right now its reading 50 minutes fast. Where it got that from i dont know...

I have the 5495 and can tell you that you cannot set the time manually. Does it via satellite.

I heard back from Eclipse tech support, and you're correct, it is all done via GPS. Just one more reason for me to hurry up and get my GPS antenna installed that I'm still waiting for from the buyer. You can however change your time zone.
