I've been browsing several threads and everyone seems to have the same head unit...however I can't seem to find the D3, but was told the F700BT is the replacement...anyone have any experience with this model? Flea-bay has them for about $625.

The Avic D3 is no longer being made. Pioneer has come out with a new line of navigation units. They are Avic F700BT, F900BT and the F90BT. I ordered a F90BT which is the Preimere model and should have it by Tuesday. Trust the newer line has a lot of improvements. The only thing is the screen is 5.8 instead of 6.5. Be looking out for a post next week after I install it to check it out.
