The seats in my 93 aren't gliding. The move about an inch, and stop. Its a good thing the drivers side is all the way to the back. The drivers don't even move forward when I move the back forward. The passenger side, however glides when I move the back, and it moves back. Slowly though. It wont move when using the controls. Is this fixable?

BILLCU on LOD did a great write-up on how to clean the motors that control the movement of the seats. It *may* help solve your problem.

I know the feeling. My '96 has been doing the same thing intermittently. And the '97 LSC just started acting up a couple of days ago.

Is there any way to add autoglide to the 93s that don't have autoglide? My 93 doesn't have autoglide.

My passenger seat was doing the exact same thing, one of the plugs on the module under the seat came loose, did you check that?

Ah! That's a thought. Sometimes, though, I can grab the steering wheel and give it a little tug while I'm sitting in the seat and it will start moving again. I think it's just worn out. The '96 is 14 years old with almost 300K miles on it after all.

On my 96 some lubrication of the tracks freed it up.

If the seat moves forward and back only when the seatback is moved, it might be the memory module or switch.

I've recently seen a gen 2 with a bad module. I thought it might be the switch, but the module had a corroded circuit board.

I think the slow motor is a separate problem, which might be fixed using that link to my post about cleaning and rebuilding the motors.
