Auto Headlamp Control / Amplifier Assembly

I'm trying to find the part to fix the auto lights on my LS. I went to Ford earlier, and the part number they gave me was XW4Z-19E663-AA [Autozone Part]. I searched for that part on Autozone's website, and it came up with a Parking Sensor. I don't think it's the right number. I had 1L2Z-13A018-AA [Autozone Part] in my notes, and it looks like it when I do a search, but Autozone says it doesn't fit. Can anyone set me on the right path for this sensor so that I can go buy it?

just throwing this out there, but maybe autozone is not the best choice of places to get parts from.

That doesn't really help. I tried Pep Boys, Oreilly's, and would have went to Napa but they close too early. Autozone was the only place able to get the mirror switch I also needed. The last resort is the dealer if they can get the right part. I'll end up spending nearly double the price.

I would only get those parts from the dealer/tasca.

Autozone is good for rotors or pads or things like that. sensors or switches id stick with dealer.

Well the mirror switch has a lifetime warranty, so I'm ok with it. Obviously it needs it, or the factory installed switch would still work.

Incidentally, I ordered the pads and rotors today. Will post the installation and results when they come in.

Did you ever find what the final part number is to fix the auto headlamps? I went through the diagnostics and that is what my problem is, but I have found a ton of different names and part numbers for this part. I just got off the phone with the local Ford parts guy and he told me it is 1L2Z13A018AA, but he sounded really unsure that he located the right part.

I saw that one too, but it was for a 2002 and I have a 2003, wasn't sure they would be the same.

They seem to be, but I'm not sure either. At least this is a part that you can still buy from Ford.
