Hey guys,

I already have the 3.73s for my Mark, and the chip is burned for 3.73s so I figure its about time to install these buggers. I have a question however and I hoping someone with knowledge will school me. I have been all along set on just buying a trac lok somewhere and then buying the rebuild kit to get it ready to install. I however found a friend recently who has a fairly new auburn locker for a 28 spline 8.8 for a close price to what it would cost to rebuild a used trac lok. What I am wondering, would it just be best to try to stick with the TL or if for the same price get the Auburn? The car is pretty much DD, and I really honestly don't know all the pros and cons of each, didn't know if the Auburn is a waste, or overkill for a DD. Thanks for any info guys. I'm gonna bet money its gonna be Laser with the knowlege first :)

Also would like to know more.

Dan I also would like to know more about this. If I am not mistaken aren't there differant levels of rebuild kits for a traction lock also?

Had an auburn in the camaro it was not rebuildable so when it went bad
it was a paper weight replaced it with an Eaton trutrack
The mark has a track lock with carbon fiber clutches

I've got one in mine and it is serviceable. The only reason I bought it is because I got a heck of a deal on it. No problems so far but I've only put about 5000mi on it since the install.
