ASMI CAI eBay Tube

Understood. I dont drive mine when its very cold or snowing so I never thought about removing the heatshield in the winter. Good point...

Oh trust me. When the first flake hit's the road, My car goes in the garage til april.

adapters included?

Other than the 1.25" coupler did any of you guys upgrade any other hoses/couplers with this intake. ie: TB to intake, intake to MAF, etc.

Thanks

Black 02 LS 3.9 (used to be my wife's DD, now time for some fun)

I did replace the blue TB to Intake coupler with a black spectre from O'Reillys. I just used stock items everywhere else (added a small hose clamp near intake manifold/MAF). The white hose came in from ASMI, looks like white Spa hose from Lowes/Home Depot/Ace. Napa's hose is much better, heat resistant, reinforced and black.

I got some red ones, but only cause I'm funny that way. Trying to do all red in the engine bay.

I noticed some wear on the ASMI intake tube in lower left (red arrow), thought I'd point that out so you guys can check your ASMI intake. Need to shim up under the bracket (blue arrow) with a nut or set of washers to get it away from that pipe.

I was taking all this off and putting on the original intake and filter prior to taking my car in for A/C service, and noticed there was little to no clearance there. I had some small wear on the chrome. FYI

Mine is not touching since I have an electric cooling fan which gives more clearance
