Are TBird rear discs interchangeable with the Mark?

This may sound retarded but I need to temporarily use the rear driver side disc and pads off the TBird until I can order all new rotors/pads in the coming weeks. The one on the Mark is severely ground down by bare pads and was never changed by the last owner.

I finally got a new roommate moved in today and I will be able to take care of my car finally.

i might be missing something but why don't you just drive the t-bird until you get the new brakes?

Yes, 93+ T-Bird rear disc brakes are the same as the Mark VIII.

Well the Tb has a massive trans fluid leak at the tail shaft and to make things worse, it falls onto the exhaust pipes making some nasty fumes. I don't know what long term effects that could have on my health breathing that stuff in for 70 miles a day but I don't wanns find out.

Check the tailshaft housing bolts, I'm willing to bet they are loose and causing your leak, tightening them up fixes the problem for good 8/10 times, the other 2/10 times the housing gasket needs to be changed along with the bushing and seal. For a free fix it's something to check out.

I wish I could have known that in the beginning. The whole time I was thinking it was the pan gasket as well as a bad joint on the DS because of the vibration. Ended up being those bolts but it was too late. At the end I was in that 2/10.
