Anyone with a K&N and Magnaflows have a 0-60 time?

These are the first mods I'm thinking of doing to my 06 V8 Sport when the funding is available. I know stock the V8's get around a 6.5-6.7 0-60 so I'm wondering how much time those two easy mods will shave off.

I know the K&N Typhoon adds a good 15hp or so and am sure the exhaust probably adds close to the same.

So has anyone taken their LS to the track with these mods?

Well the stock exhaust is less restrictive on gen2s to begin with so you'll get less gain than gen1 by doing stock. I don't know how much quicker it is with those two mods, but I had flowmaster mufflers with the stock pipes, got it on the dyno, went down the street to install 2.5'' pipes, x pipe and magnaflow mufflers, then went back to the dyno. I gained like 7 whp and 9 ft-lb's of torque, I could definitely feel the difference and it wasn't an in my head thing because of sound since going from flows to magnaflows, you go down in volume.

Whatever the 0-60 increase is, I'm sure it wont be much, but you will feel the difference and you wont regret it.

Lol, good enough for me! :D

So you'd recommend the 2.5, X and Magnaflow setup then?

FWIW, when I first started going to Maxton, I went from bone stock on the first trip to having the cat-back Magnaflow set-up and a replacement package on the intake side that I got from Ken with a KKM sticker on it.

Having these two additions made ABSOLUTELY no difference in my one mile speed so I have to conclude that it made no horsepower difference although the sound was MUCH improved.

By the time I put in the NX Pro 'spray' system, and fueled it with a stand-alone methanol package, I was equipped to take the record in class, which I did at the end of the summer.

I believe that in order to be able to make use of the additional breathing from the exhaust system and the intake tract, you must have other improvements as well. And the sound is so much improved that it's worth the cost anyway.;)
