anyone using this 1/4" solenoid adapter?

mention in the asham 8 thread, i think with these 1/4 lines, an aftermarket compressor, and a dump system and kale mod or the sort...something very neat and inexpensive could be made up

Me and Chicken chatted a bunch about air ride stuff and we both came to the conclusion that the vent solenoid is the restriction in the system...

restrictions as far as what, the solenoid in the compressor? i'm still a noob at the mark viii air suspension...i mean i get the jist of it, its components, and the sort just still learning as much as i can on it

on my 93 i drilled and tapped the factory bags, ran new lines and valves to a tank but left the stock air ride system intact, if I want it to be normal I can just flip the air ride switch back on and the stock system takes over until i move it too fast then it errors out and lets me have my way without creating a fuss until i restart the car

Background story...

Stock compressor and vent solenoid = Lose

Spider Valve = Win

Chicken has a spider valve V1 and when using his rays switch his car would drop REALLY REALLY slow and the rear wouldn't drop at all... he thought it was a moisture in the bags problem but after cleaning his vent solenoid it dropped fast again... then I was talking and was like "hey I bet the vent solenoid is still a restriction" so chicken pulled it off and hit the rays switch and BAM the car dropped like a rock...

The real problem is the stock computer can't think very fast...

last week I dissasembled my V-1 Spider Valve and it was full of corrosion and crap.

While I had it apart I noticed the opening it vents thru is a 1/4 inch hole, but the actual vent "orfice" is about the size of a #2 pencil lead.
It'd be very easy to drill out that tiny opening to allow it to vent faster.

Mine vents fast enough for my liking as it sits though

I have a spider valve but i have a problem with blowing the line right out of the end of the dryer when i dump it with the ray switch. It trashed the plastic collar, so i bought heavy duty ones with a metal collar and im on my second or third of those. Its blown off a few times (not sure if it cant handle the pressure or what) and wrecked my mufflers a week after i had them put on.

Lose. :(

thanks kid for filling in for me :) camping :) yeah the car drops like a rock with no valve on the spider valve, the opening is like 3/8 (i think), just have the car up and then take it off and flip the switch. but this size hole would be way to big for practical use. im not sure what size the vent valve opening is on my stock spider valve vent but its small. my newer vent solenoid is about 1/16" and that is almost too big, it vents than pumps up a little bit since by the time the computer knows how low it is its usually too low. thankfully i have the 2 compressors and a different way of powering them, it does ok. on a single compressor as all the rest of you are ( :D ) it would prob drastically shorten the life of the compressor by going with a bigger vent that operates every time it vents...........dnehthend....... tell me more because that is exactly my long term plan and has been for a long time. never knew anybody did it
