I went to a well trusted exhaust shop today to look at the "cats". He agreed that they could be changed especially after tapping the drivers side with a mallet and sounding like a can of loose change. He suggested BG 44K and said this could help in the mean time and clean the injectors. I know the cats still need to be changed, but I thought what the H3LL. Has anyone used it before.

Nope but it sounds like Seafoam which is also a great product that I can vouch for.

Does it work both in the tank and in the crank case along with vacuum lines?

I've used both BG as well as SeaFoam. I really like the SeaFoam alot.

According to the can you just pour it into the tank. Treats 20 gallons.

I've used it in our Infinitis. Dealer recommended it, and it seems to work very well. It supposedly cleans out the fuel injection system and fuel delivery parts. Detergent gasolines are supposed to reduce fuel-related buildup, but even with the detergents in the gasoline, this helped, particularly on our older cars with lots of miles. My only complaint was that the stuff was expensive (although the dealer may have been marking up the price big time).

Ford says "techron" it cleans the sending unit-pump-and injectors. Black bottle about 16.00 retail.

BG44K is some serious stuff. I've used it before and its well worth the cost if you haven't had the fuel system serviced in a long time.

I have used seafoam and some of the other BG products. All good stuff!
