Is there anyone out there that has a good used 3.9 V8 for an 2004 Lincoln LS. I think I might have thrown a bearing or seized something in my motor. Will know more by tomorrow once I get my car towed to my fathers shop, but keeping my options open for the worst possible scenario.

Ran a search through car-parts.com from eastom, ma and came up with these 2.

I bought my car used, and I don't know what the factory warranty is on it.

Yeah I called Lincoln today it's not under warranty any more it had 70k on it. My fathers shop has an account through robertsons from one of the above post, and they said they would give them the motor for $1,000.00. No the decision is do I do any work to the motor since it is already out?

Yeah no kidding, my 03 has 20K on it.

But those engine prices aren't bad, I thought they'd be more expensive for a 3.9.

"do I do any work to the motor since it is already out?"

If it was mine, I wouldn't, unless money is no object. You've already got 10.75 to 1 compression which is more than my 289/271 Mustang had. $400 more will get you an Xcal3 with three tunes, then you could spend some more and have it fine tuned on a DYNO. You could do nitrous if you wanted to spend even more. I believe this would be easier than tearing into your motor.

Yeah I have two jobs, and drive a lot, plus all the work I do on the side driving to peoples houses to put in remote starts, and car audio systems.

too much cash to do any substantial work on the engine... IF you wanted to throw down the cash though... ported heads and custom cams would be the cheapest... yet still rather expensive.

"custom cams"

I would like to put in a 3/4 race cam like was in my '65 289. Just love that sound.
