Just curious how much difference pioneer double din deck with around 15 RMS/50 peak will give with better Polk/infinity speakers, or if amp is necessary.

the factory radio will drive them fine, an aftermarket deck will drive them etter, an amp will drive them the best.

it all boils down to what model the speakers are, how efficient they are, and how much power they need...

Yep i understand that Loud, thanks. Slow day of work and window shopping decks and just got curious.
Any guesses? 10w RMS by 4?

Just checked the 2000 brochure. It only says the Alpine option has an 85 watt subwoffer.

edit

I just found this for the in-dash CD changer.....

The Ultimate in Convenience
The new optional in-dash 6-disc CD player music
system (58X) — now available for the 2000 Lincoln LS
— integrates a 6-disc CD player and AM/FM stereo
tuner with 80 watts into one dashboard-mounted unit
that delivers the ultimate in convenience with Premium
Sound quality.

I can only assume the "normal" changer-in-the-glove-box radio is the same as the only change was adding the changer into the head unit.
