Mine didn't want to let go this morning. Turned it back on twice and turned the wheel/straightened them before it finally let go. After work it gave me a little problem coming out, but I heard kind of a click I think and it popped out. Anyone experience this?

No steering wheel/ignition key inter lock so moving the steering wheel make no matter.

Probably the cylinder it's self, but try a different key just in case you original key maybe bent.

I read in my factory manual that there was a wheel lock option and it has a light in the dash if i remember right.

On the Euro right hand drive where it is required, not on domestic Lincoln LS.

The key was a brand new unused key. The car was definitely in park. Didn't have any issues this morning, maybe it was a fluke. I'm gonna mention it to the dealer when I get some warranty work.

Maybe the key wasn't cut correctly?

I had that issue on an old Dynasty. Sorry, I don't remember the solution. I think it was something to do with the car being in Park and the steering wheel lock. I know I had to force some things around and it resolved the issue. It never happened again.
