Anyone ever put a GM 1 Wire Alternator in a Mark VIII?

Has anyone tried to fit one of these alternators on their Mark? This winter I plan to make a few changes to my Mark VIII chumpcar race car. This past weekend I blew up another alternator at Road America so this project is on the top of the list. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help you with the 1 wire, but if it was mine I would just put a bigger pulley on the alt so it isnt turning so hard.
